Social Networking Intern – 12 months 

Salary: £16,000 

Based: Wapping, central London


  • Support the Carve team in delivering and creating social networking programmes for clients
  • Supporting Carve’s clients in the development of their communities
  • Manage Carve’s content on Carve owned social assets
  • Deliver qualitative and quantitative research for Carve’s clients
  • Contribute to copywriting social media updates for Carve and Carve clients
  • Collaborate with the strategy team and Carve’s designer to create visual content for Carve and Carve’s clients
  • Monitor and report on activity on a range of social platforms for Carve and Carve clients
  • Monitor latest trends and technologies and contribute to building up Carve’s Knowledge


Project Management:

  • Participate in client telephone briefings and meetings as required and assist consultants with writing briefs
  • Ensure regular reporting for client campaigns/assets is completed as required (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly)
  • Deliver all work in agreed format and to agreed timescales

Management of Carve Social Assets:

  • Agree clear objectives for each channel
  • Develop understanding of social networking tools (eg. Hootsuite, Sprout Social) in order to optimise and monitor activity effectively
  • Set realistic expectations for the delivery of work and ensure effective communication to other team members
  • Source, create and publish content on Carve’s owned channels


  • Providing ideas for copy
  • Liaise with Carve’s designer for producing visual materials
  • Producing first drafts of copy
  • Populating and sharing content calendars


  • Best practices on various channels and best campaigns
  • Tech and industry trends
  • Communities and influencers


  • Manage monthly Carve marketing calendar
  • Liaise with team members to ensure relevant content is produced
  • Research relevant industry events and awards and populate plan
  • Assist team members with attendance at events ensuring appropriate follow up activity (eg. uploading slide decks, writing blogs etc.)
  • Identify relevant bloggers and manage outreach programme for clients


  • Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of Carve clients and partners
  • Develop knowledge of Carve services
  • Prepare clear and accurate proposals and reports
  • Assist in compiling social networking case studies with metrics and data to demonstrate successful campaigns
  • Present findings/research/case studies to Carve team present to team, ‘what’s new in social’; ‘best campaign on….’, etc.

  • Head of Services / Head of Strategy feedback
  • Client feedback
  • Feedback from colleagues within team and at partner businesses
  • Respect of deadlines
