Digital Development
Do you know someone who’s had a nightmare developing their website? Us too.
Getting it wrong can be hugely frustrating, time consuming, and seriously detrimental to your brand. But, it doesn’t have to be like that.
Here are some reasons people work with us:
Understanding. Websites don’t (or rather, shouldn’t) exist in stasis – they should be an integral part of your proposition. Because we take the time to understand and research our clients’ audiences and offerings, we develop solutions solutions that match.
Great Ideas. We split development into three areas: design, content and implementation. When was the last time you recommended a website to a friend based on the quality of their coding? It is user-orientated design, compelling content and interactive functionality that engages people.
"Good development, honestly priced"* If you come to us wanting to develop eBay for the price of a new Nissan Micra, we’ll politely say thanks, but no thanks. Call us and tell us what you’d like to achieve and we’ll give you an honest, realistic idea of what it will cost us to do it.
Web 2.0 Memorably described as “part hype, part marketing jargon, part reality, not unlike late-night wrestling” by ARMA partners, the concept of ‘the new internet’ is nevertheless having a dramatic impact on internet development. What? Well to use a basic example, let’s say we want to develop a property website for an estate agent. When once we might have had to license a relatively cumbersome and one dimensional database engine from a 3rd party or develop if from scratch, now we could source a collaboratively developed solution from the web. We could add Google Maps, feed the results onto Craigslist, configure the code to meet your exact requirements, and send it live: all within a fifth of the cost and time it might have taken us before. So the emphasis is on creativity and end-user-engineering, which is basically good news for everyone.
Carve, in-house and with our partners, develops database driven websites, corporate websites, campaign micro sites and interactive advertising.
*Waitrose lawyers: please excuse the shameless appropriation and bastardisation of your excellent strapline. In our defence, plagiarism is the highest form of compliment, and we’re all avowed Ocado converts |
